A Collection of Healthy Recipes
by National Geographic Channel
This fall, National Geographic Channel asked some of their favorite celebrities for their favorite recipes. The only catch was that the dishes had to be healthy. And of course, our own Angie Martinez jumped at the chance to be a part of the project with our Cuban Media Noche Empanada recipe.
Americans spend 10% of their disposable income on fast food; nearly 25% of all people eat fast food daily; and we eat nearly one-third mare package than fresh food. With this in mind, National Geographic Channel (unlike HLE) were inspired to try to do something about it. So, as an accompaniment to the groundbreaking, six-hour miniseries event,
EAT: THE STORY OF FOOD
PREMIERING FRIDAY, NOV. 21, through SUNDAY, NOV. 23, at 9/8c
National Geographic Channel are thrilled to present a huge variety of delicious dishes from world-class actors, athletes, activists, writers and artists – all with one thing in common: they are healthy alternatives to our fast-food lifestyle.
In this downloadable file below, you will find ideas for breakfasts and smoothies, lunches and snacks, main courses and sides. The food is as varied as the celebrities who responded, and we hope you discover a few new ways to eat healthy as you watch EAT: THE STORY OF FOOD.
All that we ask in return for the free download is that you donate one can of food to your local food bank this holiday season and pay a visit to natgeoeat.com
Pay it forward.. and bon appetit!
